This Airsoft replica of one of the world's favourite Battle Rifles is done to a very nice standard for an almost exclusively Polymer exterior build. The outer barrel assembly is constructed from Alloy and is rock solid to give the rifle a strong starting point, and maintain integrity. Running down the barrel assembly, handguard and stock you will find several sling loops to attach your sling and make this beast easier to carry on the skirmish field. The end of the barrel assembly is threaded, and once the flash hider is removed you will have a 14mm CCW thread to attach suppressors, tracer units and other muzzle devices. The mock charging handle is functional and will open the dust cover to reveal a Rotary HOP unit where you can make adjustments to the backspin of the BB for extra range, especially when combined with a heavyweight BB (be warned this can affect output energy of your rifle and this thing is already very close to the limit).

The controls will be familiar to anyone who has used a Battle/Assault Rifle platform before, with the exception of the magazine release which is a HK style paddle release, meaning it can be reached from both sides of the rifle. The pistol grip is an ergonomic design which is very pleasant in the hand, and gives easy access to the fire selector where you have a choice of Safe / Semi / Auto. The rear of the weapon is where the battery is housed, and has ample space for a block or crane style LiPo/NiMH, connecting to the gun via a Mini Tamiya connector. To access the stock simply pull down on the rubber butt to release the mechanism and pull it off.

Internally this weapon is built off the highly successful Version 2 gearbox which makes it very familiar, easy to work on and means there is a wealth of parts available for upgrades and repairs should you decide down the line to build the ultimate Battle Rifle. Whether you're a fan of the G3 series, or are looking for a hardy Battle Rifle which has the barrel length to compete with the big boys outdoors, then this may be the replica for you.
