I’ve started accumulating too many RIF’s so need to cut down. I’ve used this gun in skirmish at phoenix airsoft a few times as my primary and it’s surprisingly decent out the box. At mid range it is devastating on burst fire and I was making a lot of people put their hands up. The barrel not protruding far past the hand makes it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. At long range, flip to fall auto. If you don’t hit them, they will definitely run or hide. The blowback is weighted by the metal bar that is also the charging handle and gives a satisfying “ching” when it fires. The recoil is not a Gbbr but it’s definitely more than mild vibration. You feel it when it fires. Overall I’m impressed with it.

Also if you’re big in stature and suffer from “that gun looks tiny on you” syndrome. This gun gives you a short carbine that looks right. The 5 position adjustable stock helps there too.

I’m basically choosing between keeping this gun or the Kel Tec Rdb, both produced by Ares. I just love bullpups so it wins by a hair. Not in features though, this gun delivers more in that department and I may just regret selling it.

Recommendations:

The hop up unit seems pretty decent and I wasn’t struggling with range, firing 2.5bb’s. I reckon a tight bore barrel and hop up bucking would take this gun to another level. The barrel is short at 255mm so an improvement there would increase accuracy. That being said it’s not terrible, the bbs go where you point.

The motor can get hot with excessive use on burst and full auto fire on the included 9.6v so it might be worth popping something special in for piece of mind. I think it’s short shaft but check before changing if you do.

You could put a lighter 7.4 lipo in the front. The gun is rated for it. The battery included will work all day but it makes the gun a bit front heavy. The carrying handle built into the gun helps mitigate this but it’s down to preference.

Don’t try the Nuprol G36 mags. They drop out. The PTS G36 mags that are included however are great and it couldn’t hurt having a couple more. Maybe even try a drum mag once you put a tough motor in there….
