Item Description

I've attempted to upgrade this stock TM L96, having bought the upgrade parts 7 years ago now, but with unfortunately little improvement in the field. It shoots at around 300 FPS with 0.2s and can get around 30-40m with it.

It's got a 90° trigger and piston in there, with an M140 spring, so it *should* be shooting at 450 FPS but that's unfortunately not the case. I've ran some compression tests (thumb on cylinder nozzle and shooting) and I can't see or hear any air leaks so I'm unsure on why it's shooting so low. The hop up might need some looking at perhaps, it's still stock.

Also, there's an issue with jamming. I've upgraded the loading plate and ramp (still plastic though) but you need to be careful when pushing the bolt back forwards after cocking since any minor movements can cause the BB to get dislodged and jam; this is a known issue with the platform due to the "realistic" magazine placement. You can dislodge a jam by wiggling the gun a little, to get the BB back on the loading ramp path but definitely don't slam fire it or force it or else the BBs will shatter.

A lot of the screws have stripped heads but you can make do using a philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

The trigger spring guide stopper is also loose (as shown in one of the photos) so it has a tendancy to fall out; I personally used....cellotape.... to hold it in place and never had any issues.

The inner diameter of the piston is around 10.3mm so be mindful if you're planning on putting stronger springs in there as stronger ones tend to be wider in diameter.

I will be keeping the scope and sling as I plan on getting a new sniper platform but will include the 2 magazines of course.

Just hoping it goes to a good home, it'll definitely need brand new internals but there's a huge lack of available upgrade parts on the market right now.

No refunds. I've been honest with the issues I've faced with the gun and am happy to answer any more questions before purchasing, if I've forgotten anything :)

Pick up if possible but can post if need be, will require a fairly large box. Would estimate around £30; I'd post it in multiple seperate parts to reduce the length of it. Please drop me a DM on here or email [email protected] with any queries. Buyer pays for postage.

TLDR: Pretty much performs as well as the stock TM L96 but with mix-match upgrade parts inside; has jamming issues which can be circumvented with careful racking of the bolt; unsure on why the FPS is so low as it has an M140 spring inside.
