Purchased 2nd hand from here and I was told it was fully working but.. it wasn’t told the seller I’d put a claim in but was told it would be countered saying I had done something to it. Anyway, I took it upon myself to get the thing sorted…
The issues –
Low power (around 0.6 joules on red gas) – I have changed the nozzle and the valve and it is now firing just on the limit on a .32g. using green gas. I imagine this would creep up in the warmer weather however, another power down valve which reduces the power further.
Didn’t lock back – I have replaced the bolt for a new one (unfortunately, the paint chipped off in some areas when replacing the valve and nozzle but this does not effect its performance and it now locks back. The original one will be supplied as a spare but where the mags catch its deteriorated hence why it didn’t lock back originally.
Broken nozzle springs – These have been replaced for new ones and there is still one spare knocking about in a back along with two spare nozzles (these are known to break over time but the spares are there ready to go). A lot of people choose not to run the nozzle return springs.
TNT Hop Unit – Over hopped .32g even when all the way off. I was told it would hop them perfectly and yes that would have been the case when firing at 0.6 joules (190 fps) but the extra power is adding more spin on the BB. I have shaved the nub in the hop unit and I think it may have rectified the issue but this is something you would need to test and be aware of. I will include a 3D printed outer barrel which takes standard GBB hop rubbers and valves but I would suggest running the stock valve in it as when I tested it, it was doing low power again.
Stock – A lot of people are a fan of the Artisan stock, I wasn’t and I tried to take it off and put the original back on but one of the screws just spins. I have researched it that these screw into a threaded barrel that is moulded into the plastic body, when over tightened, they come loose hence why its just spinning. It would need to be drilled out if you wanted to get it off.
Paint Job – It came with a camo paint job which I wasn’t a fan of, this has been carefully removed however is present in some areas, it does give it that sandy sort of weathered look which looks pretty good in my opinion.
It’s a long ad I know but I wanted to be as transparent as I possibly could be with it, it works, but isn’t perfect. I would have loved to have kept a hold of it but I’ve really lost any love for it even though I have put in the time to get it functioning how it should. Asking for £300 which includes postage and paypal fees. I will be making a loss on this due to the purchased parts and time to get it going again. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to get these answered for you.
