A&K M249 Full Metal MG
A&K M249 Full Metal 11.1 Conversion
Item Description
Hi there all,
Here for sale is my A&K M249 which is the full metal original piece by A&K before Cybergun took on the manufacturing of the model. As such, this particular model weighs 6.5kgs bare and 7.1kgs with the fold out shields (which are included, if wanted, they are rail mounted and quick-detach).
I'm an engineer/machinist and as such I love to tinker so it has a modified CNC hop unit running a maple leaf hop rubber, a shimmed gearbox and motor and rated for 11.1v LiPo (3300mAh Nuprol included with sale). This has the gun running smoothly at around 950rpm which with the included Battleaxe 1500 round mag is pretty fun.
While on the subject of the magazine I got sick of the little battery pack that came with it and as such have modified the internals of the magazine and installed a zener diode so that it can run a 7.4v HPA LiPo which is far easier to come by and can charge on a normal balance charger (2x 250mAh Valken 7.4v batteries included).
The included battery will easily last 10,000 rounds and has lasted the entire National Airsoft Festival without needing changing. The gearbox is so smooth now it can just chug away. As far as the magazine is concerned the LiPo conversion would last weeks at a time. For whatever reason you run out of battery in the magazine then standard M4 Stanags can be inserted into magwell too.
There is a fold out bipod built into the gun, the barrel and heatshields detach like the real deal and the bolt cover opens to give access to the gearbox and hop unit with the battery being stored in the rear.
I will not be shipping this no matter how much eternal love you promise me so as such, collection from Lewes, East Sussex only. Feel free to make me an offer. Thank you!
