Up for grabs is the universally liked HK 417, this model made by Umarex / VFC, known for exceptional build quality and replica design accuracy.



This is the longer barrel version, which I believe looks better and is more authentic to the version of HK 417 that everyone knows, compared to the newer models (HK 417 V2) with the SBR look which according to forum posts is of cheaper build quality with cheaper internals. not that that's relevant anyway because this one's basically bespoke!



Also in my opinion better than the newer NGRS versions, as they just bring more complication to the table, more parts that can break, harder to service and fix etc.



I've upgraded it, fully rebuilding the inside, from mosfet to motor to cylinder head, even replacing the gearbox casing entirely with the retro arms precision CNC'd aircraft grade Zinc-aluminium shell, due to a known issue where the OEM gearbox shell is prone to cracking over time or when going up to higher fps.

I've actually only used this a handful of times since I upgraded it about a year ago, due to a broken collarbone and other life stuff getting in the way.



The only thing I haven't replaced in this replica is the hopup, which, if you have done research on this model RIF, you'll already know it's one of the best stock hop-ups produced in a replica, rivalling custom made ones.



This thing is definitely both my and my friends' favourite RIF. It's bang on the limit of 450fps for semi-locked DMRs at fields, but let me tell you- this thing hops BBs so damn well.

I guarantee that using it will make the most fun you've had in an airsoft game yet, I'm really not kidding when I say that. All my mates who used it told me that this thing is awesome, and I'm really proud to say that I managed to rebuild it and have it perform so well.
